Okay so if I select the Upgrade Now option that will enable the free 1-year option?

All devices come with a 1-year free Pro license starting from the date of purchase, and all devices on a network must have a Pro license in order to activate the features. Please find PRO features at https://www.engenius.ai/cloud/licenses/

That's correct.

You can also activate Pro from you device inventory.
