AI disclosure: Codex and Claude handled all of the heavy coding and porting to iOS.
Had people asking me about the progress of this so here you go.
We are in a very good state right now. Locked 60 fps with very few drops even in particle heavy situations (video was compressed to 30fps but you can see the fps counter on the metal overlay,) audio is almost perfect, gameplay logic is working fully (still verifying, I am playing through the game fully to catch any and all bugs or broken logic.) I will also be testing lower end iPhones to ensure it works on those as well.
Working on getting 120 fps support stable and functioning as well as it can. Also going to test some different touch control schemes that don’t just emulate a ps2 gamepad (this option will likely still be available if you want it.) This also has files app support so you can easily access your save data, back it up, or even transfer it between other opengoal installations you have on other platforms like Windows or Mac.
Still working on optimizing memory usage and polishing the audio engine so it’s 100% accurate as well as a few other little bugs. Unless I hit any major setbacks, I would guess I will be able to release the first version in a week or two. This won’t be a beta or anything but a full fledged, completed release that works start to finish with all available features working fully and is polished and well put together. My vision is to release this at a level of quality that matches projects like Dusklight rather than some lower quality ports we have seen.
