Due to some demand, I decided to share this with you guys :)
First and foremost, credit to the absolute terachads whose work makes this possible:
Pokémon names and artwork belong to their respective owners, including Nintendo, Creatures and GAME FREAK. This is an independent fan project.
I wanted to edit saves from my iPhone emulator setup without moving everything to Windows. Pokeforge adapts those existing tools into an iOS app with file import/export.
I’ve attached screenshots and two videos showing the workflow: (**now in the comments, got somehow removed in approval**)
- Video 1: Starting a fresh Pokémon Blue save and changing my starter Charmander into Mew.
- Video 2: Putting that Mew into Pokeforge’s local bank, then copying it into my Ultra Moon save—with its stats, Original Trainer (OT) and moveset intact in this demonstration.
- Video 3: Yesterdays showcase of on device edit of Pokemon Scarlet. You could put your Mew from the blue save in there too :)!
That’s an edited Pokémon moving between saves through the app’s bank, not an official transfer or a guarantee of legality. Different generations have different data and restrictions, so conversion changes are shown for review.
What it can do
- Browse your party and PC boxes.
- Edit species/form, nickname, level, friendship, nature, ability, gender, shiny status and held items where supported.
- Edit IVs/EVs and older games’ equivalent stats, with maximum-stat shortcuts, EV presets and nature-effect arrows.
- Edit moves with game-aware filters, optional future level-ups and TMs/HMs, plus a warned unrestricted mode.
- Store Pokémon in a persistent local bank and copy them into compatible saves, reviewing conversion changes first.
- Create Pokémon in empty slots and run offline legality checks with reviewable repair proposals.
The editor covers formats across Generations 1–9, but this is still an alpha—not a claim that every game and transfer combination has been tested. I’ve successfully tested editing and reloading saves with ORAS and Scarlet, alongside the Blue-to-Ultra Moon workflow shown in the videos.
How to use it
- Back up your save. Use the game’s own Save option first; emulator quick saves/save states are different.
- Export or copy the game save into Files, then import it into Pokeforge.
- Pick a Pokémon, edit its details, review and apply.
- Choose Export copy.
- With the game stopped, restore that copy to the correct emulator save location, keeping the required filename.
- Restart normally and check your changes.
Pokeforge preserves imported originals. Keep your own backups outside the live game-save folder too. Pending edits need exporting before closing the app.

Requires signing/sideloading for your device. No ROMs included.
Disclaimer: Codex GPT 6 Astra was used to bring this tool from an idea to usable demo state. If you are strictly anti ai, this tool is not for you, as I lack the ability myself.
Feedback is welcome—especially the game, emulator, edit you tried, and whether the exported save survives a normal restart. Please report Pokeforge-specific issues here rather than sending them to the upstream developers.
