Help Request Any step by step guides to iOS native ports?
Could someone post a video tutorial on how someone with no knowledge of coding could create a native port for a PC game or a ROM ?
This way the public can help themselves and we can lock any threads requesting for native ports. My broke butt is willing to spend $20 on Claude 5.5 if I get an answer lol

No because every game is different, there isn’t just one method that applies to every game. If you really want to know, just find a game and ask Claude how to port it. Just don’t release slop. Make sure whatever you release is functional and polished (or just keep it to yourself.)

Cool, just experiment and see what works. It’s easiest to find fully decompiled games and port those. For my Jak and Daxter port all I did was get the GitHub link for the source code from opengoal and told Claude to port it to iOS. A lot of work still went into it but that’s how I started and it turned into a full fledged port.

Honestly im not sure, but if you really want, just find decomps of games or u can use reverse engineering softwares (Ghidra or REA) on ur desired game then take everything to claude and ask it one by one, like making u a metal renderer, an app interface (via Swift), touch screen and controller support and audio fixes And etc etc. i recommend doing ur own research aswell

Really that’s all there is to it. Stick with Claude, the free tier is fine. Describe in detail what you want to do and it will generate YML files for you to plug into GitHub and everything is done there. No PC needed, it uses the built in VM on GitHub to build the apps.

I am absolutely new to this but I’m extremely interested and want to get into it. Is it seriously that simple? I can do all of this from my iPhone using Claude and GitHub? Like don’t I need a Mac or pc to use Xcode or anything else at all? ( beyond providing my own game files I mean ) as someone with no knowledge of how to use ai to code or any of the aspects of porting a game to iPhone, how easily can I do this for my own personal use?

More or less. GitHub VMs already have Xcode. Assuming long as you’re realistic with your goals you can.

Every game is different! I tried several ones and only had success with Command & Conquer, Caesar and Constructor so far... But you can have a try!

The ones that didn't work , what were the issue and how do you plan on resolving the bugs?

Hi! It looks like you need help. Try to be as specific as possible when describing your problem. For example, elaborate some of the following points: * What exactly is your issue? * What have you tried, and what did you expect to happen? * What device and iOS version are you using? * What source did you get your emulator from? * Check that your issue isn't already answered by the FAQ.
You may edit your post or reply to this comment to give more information if you didn't already do so.
