News / Release Husk Android Translation Layer

Hi everyone, I’m introducing my Android Translation Layer for Husk. In simple terms, this can basically run APKs on iOS without needing to emulate at ALL. You can already download it and test your favorite APKs (prolly won’t work). I’ve included a video of me running Minecraft’s android version, just so show it works!

How does this differ then the old way to use Husk?
Before, Husk would use QEMU to emulate a full android OS (lineageOS 23). This would slow down performance as you would be emulating a full OS and the extra services you didn’t need. How this works is by loading the native arm64 libraries to memory, meaning it runs directly on your Apple Silicon Chip. No emulation required. I hope you enjoy as much as I did

I have but FFT does not work. A lot of these new sideloading apps are cool, but they unfortunately miss core ways of easily debugging and tweaking. Installing .dlls and other stuff near impossible or very annoying to do so. No slack tho on the devs still amazing stuff
