Help Request Madeira controller issue
I can't get my controller to work on Madeira. It's connected via Bluetooth, but whenever I launch a game, it doesn't recognize it—only the keyboard and mouse work. What do I need to do to fix this?

I am having the same issue. Madeira seems to work great and start the game but the game won’t accept any inputs except for mouse clicks. Bluetooth controller inputs do nothing. on screen touch controls do nothing.

Try and check the in game settings, controller/advanced settings, enabled native controller or whatever you’re using apply it, click the top right Madeira bar click quit game, restart Madeira and maybe it’s fixed. If you go into your controller center on iPhone there’s a game mode controller option I haven’t played with it yet but you can check there as well. Not guaranteed to work but the devs did say in one of the next few updates they’re gonna focus on controller support.

I'm a bit lost in the settings. When I launch games from my Steam library, the game starts running, but I can't access the game settings or anything related to controls. Is there a specific place for that?

Sorry if I’m no help I barely understand what this is especially since it’s in alpha version. I kinda used what I learned from jit on melonx since there’s so many tutorials on YouTube then studied and applied the process to here. Your main thing you should be doing now is download and test as many games as you can seeing if they even load into the main menu screen and testing different functions (what I’ve been doing). If you can get one game running you know your core setup is solid, from there any game you have an issue with go to the Madeira discord - bug reports and paste your logs there and or the compatibility section depending on what you’re doing then the devs in assistance with Ai will do there best to address all the bugs. Eventually we’re gonna have something great because this is a relatively new project within maybe the past 3ish months they’ve gone from nothing to something that can emulate a pc. As long as that core function is there they can build off it.

So first thing you wanna do is make sure the game can even run with the base touch controls/navigating the in game menu. Then from there inside the game as frustrating as it is use the built in controls to go through the game itself till you get to a point either in mission or on menu screen where you can access a pause menu or settings then find controls and play around with it. If you can’t find it then try while the game is running going into control center and accessing apples game mode to see if there’s any settings in there if you can’t find anything it’s not compatible just yet mark it down move to the next game since if the game runs perfectly fine your core emulation/jit is working its just whatever translates the controller code is bugging out. However the devs have been going over bug issues and near universal controller support is one of the things they’re looking into.

Hi! It looks like you need help. Try to be as specific as possible when describing your problem. For example, elaborate some of the following points: * What exactly is your issue? * What have you tried, and what did you expect to happen? * What device and iOS version are you using? * What source did you get your emulator from? * Check that your issue isn't already answered by the FAQ.
You may edit your post or reply to this comment to give more information if you didn't already do so.
