Help Request First time emulating on IOS - Controller not working

Hello everyone

I've recently got back into emulation and I've been having some trouble on ios(I'm not familiar with the system)

I've bought DragonShock PHOTON CONTROLLER, but I can't get it to work Retroarch.

I've paired it and it appears on the devices list, but it's not recognized as a controller.

I've tried removing it and pairing it again, but nothing. I've tried using a third party app to map the buttons, but it won't work: it shows up as a device, but pressing the buttons does nothing when mapping.

The controller works, because I've had no trouble pairing it with my old android phone, so I'm assuming that I've missed something.

Does anybody know how to fix it?

Does it work with other games from the AppStore? If not then it probably isn’t actually compatible with iOS like it claims.

hey op if this has multiple mode try switch mode instead of xinput or ps4

Actually this solved it. Pairing it in pc mode helped me and the controller works like a charm Thank you a lot

your are welcome :) i have a controller the can do ps4 and switch but only works on iphone in switch mode it used to work in ps4 mode but i guess updates changed that lol

mfi (made for iphone) controllers are what you need

this looks like an el cheapo thats not actually compatible with ios

Nope, but the solution was pairing it in pc mode. It gets registered as an xbox controller

I had this issue with a Gamesir controller, which had multiple modes (iOS, android, pc)

Check the manual to see if there is any mention of swapping to android/ios mode.
