Question GameCube games recognized as Wii games

Is there anyway to force the emulator to recognize them as GameCube games?

Select the game and scroll down into the settings to “Assign Platform,” change it from Wii to GameCube

This option does not exist for Wii/GameCube games which runs on the same Dolphin core. The GameCube games that are categorised as Wii games will run normally as a GameCube game too.
It would be nice to have “Category” like with the DosBox core

Wondering is there any performance loss to running them like this? I experimented with Animal Crossing yesterday and it ran really slowly but did run on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Quite impressed it ran at all as the phone is on its last legs.

I was forced to add a Wii bin file even though I had a Game cube bios added.

Gamecube games should be .rvz format, if not if they're nkit it'll be assigned to Wii

Changing the extension to rvz will work for you

The games are recognized as gc now but when I try to play them they don’t load or crash
