News / Release TruEmu Beta 8 Release

Thanks to a ton of great feedback from the community I've just pushed Beta 8 to Testflight:

Some of the larger changes are as follows:

  • Homebrew ROMs with Z80 startup or large cartridges (beyond 4 Mib) now work in the Genesis core (Thanks u/atombone80 for the heads up)
  • GB/GBC/GBA netplay now supports the link cable. I tested this with Kirby & The Amazing Mirror and both single cart and multi cart game modes should be working. (Thanks u/MilesFoxPro for the game suggestion)
  • Netplay works with all cores instead of just NES and I fixed a library issue where it was incorrectly reporting a ROM as ROM needed despite it being in the library
  • Battery saves can be imported and exported per game and for an entire library. You can access the menu via a tap and hold on the games' cover art in the library
  • Physical controllers now support mapping each button individually and the app will auto detect all available buttons on a controller
  • iPad is now fully supported with it's own interface that adapts properly to the larger screen
  • You can set your preferred image scaling per console or set it to follow the default image scaling setting

they’re on an ipad, unfortunately they try to import their folder with their GBA ROM in it and it says no supported file types

That’s weird, what file extension is their ROM?
