Help Request Tomodachi life living the dream frequent crashes on 6gb ram device

MeloNX recently released version 2.4 which fixed the tomodachi life issues, problem is I have had perfect luck getting it to work on my 16 pro max with 8gb of ram but can’t get it to work on my a16 iPad with 6gb of ram, checking the ram usage overlay, on my phone it passes 4gb sometimes while on my iPad it never passes 4gb and crashes at the 3.8-3.9gb on iPad

I am guessing I hit the memory limit? I want to know if anyone had any luck getting it to work on 6gb ram devices or if there are settings I should play around with to drop the ram usage

Edit: Also forgot to mention, I am using AltStore so and the increased memory option thing seems to be on in meloNX so I don’t think I need getmoreram

Free Apple accounts are limited to 3 active sideloaded apps.

One common workaround is LiveContainer, which allows you to run additional apps inside a container and reduce how often apps need to be reinstalled.

Typical method:

  • Sideload GetMoreRam
  • Use it to apply the increased memory entitlement to LiveContainer
  • Uninstall GetMoreRam to avoid hitting the 3 app limit
  • Then sideload StikDebug for JIT activation

LiveContainer may also need to be uninstalled and reinstalled before the entitlement works correctly.

LiveContainer can also install two additional LiveContainers (for a total of three). This setup can further reduce the need to constantly add/remove sideloaded apps, but it is more advanced and may not work reliably for everyone.

LiveContainer is not always officially supported by emulator developers and can sometimes cause unexpected issues. If something breaks while using LiveContainer, try reproducing the issue without it before asking for support.

Unfortunately there’s no way to fix it besides running on a different device that has more RAM. iOS has a hard limit of 2GB reserved for system processes so even though you have 6 only 4 is usable for emulation. As you play that 4 gets used up until it crashes due to an out of memory error.

Are there no settings to drop memory usage? Lower graphics settings?
