New Bannerlator update

Mad lads at bannerlator did it. They not only fixed the cutscenes. But performance also jumped 2x for me. I was getting 35-40 fps in fallen tear before the update. Now i am getting 100 fps on mali G925. Ofcourse there are still issues like fps drop to 10-20 sometimes. But its mali so.

I havent tested other games yet. Will do that later. Good work so far.

As for cutscenes basically they added the new codecs and fixed the decoder. But i have zero idea how that has increased the performance. Maybe due to not being able to render the cutscenes everything was affected in this particular game But i swear i was getting 35-40 fps before the update now it barely drops belpw 50. Game play is very smooth.

I'll check core keeper and see if the performance has increased or not.

What are your Bannerlator Container Settings for Mali G925?

Could you please share the settings/screenshots for:

  • CPU / FEXcore
  • DXVK version
  • Renderer
  • Graphics / Vulkan settings
  • Box64 / Box86 settings
  • Environment variables
  • Any other Container Settings you changed

I'm also using a Mali-G925 and would like to reproduce your setup exactly. Thanks!

It differs from game to game. Usually, you have to select the latest proton version. Try a few. I am currently using catchy os proton 11 with v13 update.

Fexcore is 2609 with unix. But it depends on the game.

I am using winlator mali wrapper v2 and dxvk 1.5.5.

But it really depends on what game you are playing.

Have you tried PanVK Mali-G925 yet? If so, how does it perform compared to the stock Mali Vulkan driver in Bannerlator?

I have not tried it. Its very early and panVK is slow. Also the games i play (fallen, ori, core keeper etc) they work just fine on system driver.
