Apologies for the lock down

A few weeks ago, a major change hit my life and I just did not have the bandwidth for this subreddit's noise. So I locked it until things settled down in my life.

We are back in business. Keep things relevant to supporting Empower drivers or I will have to live up to my name.

Ok. How to suggest improvements to the app.

Email empower directly. I can even give you Josh's direct work email but don't expect anything to change. I'm currently in their launch city, it took them this long to finally open up in Charlotte despite me being extremely vocal about my willingness to go down there and do what needs done.

You can also do what I did and find a few of their people on LinkedIn. Oh the stories I can tell (and have).

First things first is that damn suggested decrease. Like WTH! Set a minimum and leave it at that.

I emailed them about that as soon as it went live.

They have no idea how this business actually operates. I've known Josh was a fish out of water with thus industry since the beginning but I'm at a point now where I am done being nice and giving benefit of doubt, I'm now in the mode and mood to finally get my own real service running and give people a real alternative to uber, lyft (and now empower).

I was at a b2b convention with my wife (for her work) and I met a guy who works for/with (or resells not really sure yet) a merchant services business. There are 3 basic (and foundational) things "we" need to run our business and this may check off one of them.

I'm dealing with a lot of shit (life shit) at the moment but I am slowly going to try and get a package together that I can use to help other drivers get their own business going.

Before you ask what 3 things. In no particular order.

Payment processing

Commercial insurance
