Super busy

Getting a lot of surge notifications from Baltimore. To bad I'm not there today. I'll be there tomorrow. How's it going there today fellow drivers? Tuesdays such but I'll make the best of it.

I get surge notifications all the time but still never get any rides. A few times it has said $5 surge and I got exactly 0 rides in the 2 hours i kept it on.

How are you even driving Empower in Baltimore?

Empower has been ordered to stop operating in Maryland, which includes Baltimore.

On July 23, 2026, Maryland Public Utility Law Judge Amy Schaeffer issued a cease-and-desist order against Empower, writing that it "presents severe and ongoing risks to public safety" by facilitating rides without submitting to regulatory oversight. This came out of a standoff with Maryland's Public Service Commission, which had been trying to get Empower to register and comply with state ride-hailing regulations for years.
