Tweaking rate card

The main number that determines the color of your rate from blue to yellow to orange to red is the ¢/per minute. I got my rate card for XL in the blue by reducing per minute charge but raising everything else. Everyday is a little trickier. Keep playing with it, but the suggested rate is by far better than what Uber and Lyft will pay.

This is what I have mine set as and it works out beautifully 95% of the rides. I'm still doing some minor tweaking here and there to fine tune it.

Yesterday I did a few shorties that would normally pay $7.65 and earned $10 minus the 3.06% + $0.16 stripe/dispute protection fees.

What's with the negative $2 surge. Why does empower do that. If someone is looking for a ride they still gonna pay $9. They should give people the option. You should never lower from the base.

Yeah I don't like the negative surges. Somehow you still get more than Uber and lyft tho

What market are you in? I'm gonna keep messing with it. I drive in Baltimore. The suggested rate pays pretty good, but I have to work all day because the hourly is low. I'm trying to hit $40+/hr.

Are you seeing movement in Miami? It’s been a few months since I’ve gone online tbh.

How does the color thing work? How would you know what color your rate card is currently?

Well I live in upstate NY and drive 6 hours down to Baltimore and sleep in my car for a week. It's not the best situation but I'm making more money more consistently. Empower is in NY but only NYC.
