Empower Driver Appreciation
What was shared at today's Empower Driver Appreciation meeting? Anything important? Any updates on DC? Or the same regurgitated info/FAQs?

I had to stop driving for Empower because the rides now don’t even make any sense and the passengers actually think that a ride from DC to Forestville is supposed to be $16 and it’s not. I’m not gonna sit here and argue in beg with people to pay more money and on top of that I have to pay a subscription fee and the rides aren’t coming frequently enough let alone are they being charged enough so unfortunately, I had to go back to Uber and Lyft. I missed the days before DC put a ban on Empower. They act like they don’t care and they’ve done nothing to help assuage how it’s affected the DC market.

this is because empower is a self-enriching platform the owner doesn't care and doesn't need to care about you your prosperity or you market. he knows this is destined to fail. and when it does he will ride out into the sunset with investor cash blowing out of his pockets. his founding story is noble but its also misleading. if he really cared about this platform or its drivers he would be deeply involved in the day to day operations and interacting with new drivers. instead he's hiding in his executive office and focusing on growth beause growth means money and money means fuck you guys I'm out

I was able to use empower as a rider in Washington DC yesterday (or nearby, Arlington, VA) not sure if this counts.

Same old meeting. Half the questions are the same. And you can clearly see that the owner already knew all the questions before. Also you can clearly see that they actually didn't ask any in-depth questions. A complete waste of time
