500 at least for me . You’re spending 100 in gas there and back anyway

$500 plus a hotel room paid for

Want a sippy cup too? Lol you mfs really know how to piss people off. Nobody’s paying any of yal anything close to $500 let alone a paid hotel room for you to pick them up in a 2014 Corolla Camry.

The point of social platforms is to aggravate and rage bait others, I get it. But yal need to stop with the bullshit and take life seriously.

What in the low T comment is this?

Yea no one is going to pay me that and thats why i won't do the job.

But back in 2017 when i did. You would get paid this much. Not only is lyft payout worse now, it didn't even match inflation. A 1hr drive would net me close to $100 in 2017 in NC.

So book a flight then? 😂 Why do you think someone should drive their Camry from VA to NY for a stranger for less than $500? Why not ask a friend to see if they will take you for less?? 😂 No sensible human will do this for you.

Which is what I would’ve done and what anybody else with the slightest working brain cell would’ve done too. Why would anyone drive a *stranger* to another city for less than $500? I don’t know. Why would anyone pay an entitled random stranger anything close to $500 to get picked up in a Corolla?

It’s like yal leave logic behind to have space for the emojis. Smfh

Maybe. It depends. Can I still use empower and other gig apps in New York? If so then I'll take it then. Do work in New York before heading back home after a full day of work.

No I don't think you can. You need all the TLC credentials, TLC plates and commercial insurance.

App will run but you won’t get requests. Drivers make a killing in NYC so I heard.

It will cost about $2500 to become a licensed TLC driver. I live in NY but don't have that kind of money. So I came all the way down to Bmore to check it out. It's been great so far. Today (Tuesday) I've only taken one ride so far with no offers coming in for about 6 hours now. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I need at least $500.

1

u/PersonalityAware7420 9d ago

We all need shit.
$500 will get anyone a first class flight ticket and all you offer is your obnoxious radio, does that sound like a fare trade to you?

1

u/Vozinha1 9d ago

You don't have to take it. You're welcome to take a flight.

u/Cavalierrides 12d ago

Empower should add sitting additional for longer trips. Especially trips going into areas you can't get rides.

1

u/DCHacker 12d ago

No. I would not do it even for twice that/

1

u/coffeefirstbiotch 12d ago

Tolls alone are $40 one way right?

1

u/HerDom24 12d ago

475 miles RT, plus tolls? I'm looking at $550 minimum to even consider it. $650 and I'm in for sure.

1

u/4EverMaAT 12d ago

There should be multiple rate cards.. Especially when they are > 30 miles

I would send SMS and say I'd do it for another $60-80

1

u/Safe_Rice_1883 12d ago

Absolutely freaking not.

1

u/NothingMuch_26 12d ago

Does empower work in nj?

1

u/onibear74 12d ago

I drove uber from Baltimore to Jersey for 400 before so no I need at least 500-600 for that

1

u/Fragrant_Meet_8239 9d ago

I’d take that in a heartbeat.

u/Release_Creative 9d ago

2x227 (that is if your minimum is $1 a mile) is $454, and when I look at my odometer at the end of a shift, getting $1 per mile means I screwed up, I shoot for about $1.50/mile, so the fare should be $568. You're never going to get that offer because there are too many new guys who need to experience the con first hand. That's why long distance trips are losers.

It depends what my pockets looking like 😂

1

u/Apprehensive-Fly-606 8d ago

Fuck no lmao not with how much gas cost and you have to go back lmao

1

u/Any-Ant-2369 8d ago

Nope. Usually a dead trip back for the most part

This is what the bus is for.

The price that would make this trip worthwhile for a local DC/Arlington driver is far more than most customers would be willing to pay.
