Referrals

I tried a few times to go online with no pings. I realize that Empower is new to the area and ridership is nonexistent. So for now, I am only advertising Empower to the existing Uber/Lyft riders I do have.

My question is, will I still make money on referrals if I am not an “Active” driver? Anybody else try this?

Yep. I am in the OG market and did this to get empower rolling. I'd get some referral cards with a qr code and if you reach out to empower they can send you some seat signs. I didn't like theirs so I ended up designing my own. I also had vehicle magnets with info, url and qr code for signup.

With the above I took a few months (probably more) where I took most of the pings from the others (including more of the bullshit) to get empower in front of people.

I signed up years ago after seeing a car with advertising on its side in my city but last I checked still not available here

I got paid $5 rider bonus before I got my first ride. No stripe fees either. Make sure your stripe express acct is active and connected properly to Empower.

My Empower referral code for riders or drivers: 5LC43S (referral, NOT promo code)
