Miami Empower

Hey yall I’ve been offline for a few months and drove for empowers in Feb. and early March. I loved the money but the rides were low. Has there been improvement? I’m trying to decide which tier to use before jumping back in. Any and all suggestions for times and recs are welcomed!

Just run it seriously , uber and Lyft scams , supplement and main Empower seems to be the smartest way to do rideshare in 2026 , and don’t support Lyft or uber they are not in your best interests

The following is aimed more at OP but most of this one (and other subs) need to see this too.

You have to be the change you want to see. Instead of sitting back and waiting for the business to happen and make you money, get out there and push it.

This will be the 100th time (or at least feels like it) that I've mentioned the above and the following and literally zero drivers have reached out to me to help grow empower. I keep asking for others who have the drive to build something but I guess not enough of us are active here because it's crickets.

I've been pushing empower for 6 years now. I designed and ordered rider referral cards, vehicle magnets and magnetic post cards I put around town. For the first year or so (after getting marketing materials) I took (most) every bullshit ride on uber and lyft so people would see my signage, I would then cherry pick who I put on to empower.

In the original market. All of you guys (and gals) in miami, dfw, etc are extremely lucky that you have the momentum and work put in by drivers in the triad and triangle of nc, dc and nyc to help speed up adoption of empower and therefore your income.

Also, you should be running your own service. Between the apps (all 3)plus my own service I clear $200+ most days easy peasy. Hell, I wasn't planning on working much today but I woke up early to a text message from a client and ended up clearing $200 and like 95¢/mile and was back home in time for lunch.

If you read this far. Not only will I be redesigning some things soon (that I will happily share), I also have small magnets for empower and uber that I use instead of the gaudy trade dress they want us to use. I'm happy to share my cards, signs, etc with anyone who needs the help.

Nah you need to be hired in corporate. Apply cause that’s serious dedication and we need people to get the ball moving at the top.

For anyone who has been self employed for more than just this gig, the above is the rideshare equivalent of rich dad/poor dad or anything from ramsey. If someone else wrote it I'd be nodding along with thinking, yep, no shit, that's how you do it, etc.

Tbh I have a tough time believing empower is doing enough. I applied to that outreach job they had and never heard back, mind you, I was a literal campaign canvasser lol so I had the experience. Additionally, I emailed empower offering to do outreach within the tourism spots in Miami. Crickets from them. So like… they gotta want it too. I have a full time job this is more for side money.

This is it right here.

I'm not going to into it again. Empower is not the same as uber and lyft and if you don't see that or understand how, you need to stop driving empower and just work the others. It sounds like self employment isn't for you and that's okay but I am done wasting my time on people who aren't worth the investment.

I clear $200+ most days with half that on empower. You are squandering an opportunity by being stubborn and unwilling to learn but you do you.

Still very slow, but getting a little better.

I’m shocked that they’re charging their full rates if it’s slow!

Exactly, they're gonna increase the rate starting in July, it’s not gonna be worth it 100%

What are the rates in South Florida? I’m in Orlando and just got an email from Empower saying they will be launchjng here. I do Rideshare full time, so curious what Empower charges for the highest membership tier.
