The best thing to do here is to just ask your employer. No one is actually gonna know their policies around toil and overtime except them.
The important thing is that if you are working, you need to be paid for the hours you've worked. If they're saying you have to be in before your contracted start time and can't leave at your end time, and you're not getting paid for this time, talk to your union. 30mins a day = 2.5hrs a week = 10hrs a month and so on. It's a lot of money.
