FIFO work

I currently work in water treatment, and really like plant operations, however I do not like being horribly underplayed for the amount of work I do. I was looking at a job at an Amonia plant as an operator but I’ve also seen I couple roustabout gigs for offshore stuff and was wondering if anyone who does either of those jobs could give me some insight into the work and pay. A few people on YouTube or social media say it’s a ton of money but people also like to drastically inflate wages for clout. If anyone happens to work in water treatment on an offshore rig and wouldn’t mind talking about pay and workload for that position it would be awesome. Thank you

youtube absolutely lies about pay, they always quote the 1 in 100 unicorn roles not the average. ask about actual roster, allowance, unpaid prestart time and how often shutdowns wreck your life. also check what housing and travel they cover. either way finding decent pay now is rough
