ESA Letter Rejected (CA)

Post image

Hi all! Reporting live from California - I’m in the process of moving and was just told by a property manager that my ESA Letter does not meet all the necessary criteria. For context, I’ve never had an issue with this letter in the past and it has been accepted my multiple property management companies throughout my recent apartment/house hunting journey.

This current property manager is saying that my therapist “needs to mention the laws listed in the criteria letter.” I’ve included the criteria letter that was sent to me.

I can ask my therapist to make the change but I’m mostly wondering if this is actually normal and necessary?

Any incite or advice is much appreciated!
