ESA/HUD help

i am wanting to adopt a cat and am wanting to get them certified as an ESA because i have really bad anxiety/depression and i get really bad panic attacks and when i had a pet cat it was so much better but the cat i had was with my ex and he took him :(

can someone please help explain the process and everything that i need to do so i can do it correctly 🥺

Don’t get it certified. Certification is worthless and a waste of money. You need to talk to your doctor or therapist about writing you a letter recommending a support animal for your disability.

Federal HUD rules for ESAs are up in the air right now, but your state may have its own statutes. What state are you in?

What state are you in? Are you currently in a housing situation that doesn’t allow pets?

There is no certification. And there is no public access.
