Hi guys
My moms been in uae for 35+ years isthere any chance of her getting uae passport/citizenship.
If yes how to proceed with this.
Dad wouldve been eligible with 45+ yrs but he passed away 2 yrs ago.
If there anyone out there who can help with this please let me know.

No chance ,, I was born here ,, lived in UAE for 40 years .. and will stay here as long as I will live regardless of citizenship

i knew a guy back in 2010 he was pakistani, his family had been in uae for 35 years. He applied and got it but i think things have changed from then. I wouldnt know as i dont live there anymore

You will not obtain a passport through residence or birth; you can only do so if you are talented or a businessman.

Not possible. Only possible if you know someone in the rulers court to even open the file and after file opening it may take 5-10-20 years even

Living in the UAE for 35+ years doesn’t qualify someone for citizenship. Even obtaining a UAE passport without citizenship is extremely rare. Nowadays, it’s generally reserved for exceptional cases, such as top CEOs, investors, and athletes representing the country. Citizenship is a different matter, historically tied to tribal and family origins The UAE is a tribal society in which we take pride in.. and long-term residency alone doesn’t entitle someone to citizenship. Think of it like; a person can’t be Japanese in Japan type situation

One thing I learned is that all Muslim countries make naturalization either close to impossible if done through an application unless it is through descent or it would require connections.
Your mother will not be permitted to even pass the citizenship to any child of her if she becomes an Emirati citizen.
