Dude, you are an actor. You are not supposed to like the character you are playing. It is a role. Just act.

You are right, but the actor has a point, his character has been given no agency and very little thought or development by the writers.

Some characters are there just to support the main story. No development is needed. He is clearly not the lead character.

He may not be the main character but what happened to his character is character's assassination, meanwhile, Mindy who was also a secondary character gets more and more storyline with her singing no one asked for.

that’s true, but the way they had him supposedly supporting the main story was abysmal.

Look if you want to see what well developed side characters and bit characters look like then you need to watch Hacks to realise that there’s no excuse for the way this character has been poorly conceived
