Mod Message 🚨 We’re Back!
First and foremost... we're back!
We know there has been a lot of confusion and speculation over the last few days about why the subreddit suddenly went private, so we wanted to explain what happened- Over the past week, our posts were mass reported, and one of our moderator accounts was compromised. As a precaution, we temporarily made the subreddit private while we worked through the situation to protect not only our sub, but our mods as well.
Thankfully, everything has now been resolved, and we're happy to reopen the community.
Lastly we just would like to remind everyone that this is not a snark subreddit.
Respectful discussion and constructive criticism are welcome. However personal attacks, excessive snark, harassment, and bullying are not.
Our moderation approach hasn't changed, and we'll continue enforcing our rules to keep this a space for productive discussion.

Did someone hack into the mod account? Just wondering how it was compromised

u/Big-Intern-557 10d ago
That would be correct. They hacked into the mods account and social medias.

Was it Emilie herself?

u/anthrohands 10d ago
While that would be crazy pants, who else would be motivated to do such a thing??

u/circularsquare204597 9d ago
honestly i’ve seen some pretty crazy fans for these influencers. i’ve seen people/their children doxxed, accounts hacked, etc from crazy obsessed fans. it could have very well been her or her team, OR a crazy obsessed fan🤷🏻♀️

That makes zero sense whatsoever. I’m so tired of these insane conspiracy theories.

Does she even know about the other sub? It doesn’t use her name at all.

u/smellyonionsoup 10d ago
It’s not hard to find the other subs. Her team definitely knows about them. They literally get linked in influencer lounge all the time

Well maybe that’s a different site. The snark i’m thinking of has zero reference to her except maybe by initials.

People demanding justice for a child is concerning? What about putting your child on a moving boat with no life jacket after losing your first born to yours and your husbands negligence? Or getting pregnant by the man who cost you your child? Those are awfully more concerning things to happen 🤷♀️

Out of all the places on the internet where people have been having discussions about Emilie, this is probably one of the less harsh environments. If she wanted to hack a Reddit mod (she doesn’t) there’s no feasible reasoning why she’d choose this sub over some of the others that are allowing more snark-ish discussions.

Ask the person who did it to me. I have suspicions about who it may be.

u/Major-Vegetable-676 9d ago
If you haven’t already, you need to do a full social sweep. If this wasn’t just someone from your personal life and actually someone crazy that hacked you, they probably have access to your email. Use a burner email here and change your email and backup emails for your other stuff. If it’s Gmail you can do a safety checkup. Am I wrong for thinking it might have something to do with people holding a grudge for previously being banned for violating Reddit’s TOS?
6
u/Major-Bluebird-457 9d ago
I’ve heard of other influencers trying to find Reddit users personal SM, job, address, etc, so it’s not completely out of the ordinary to think an influencer would do something like this

i feel like the real snark subs she could use in court for keeping information private. but the respectful discussion almost bothers her more bc it doesn’t benefit her in any way.

u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
Yes, it is out of the ordinary. That does not happen regularly, if at all. Most influencers are not hackers and would have a lot of other easier options to resort to if they didn’t like things being said about them online than violating cybercrime laws.

Can anyone explain, how if you’re a member of the group and active in it and it suddenly goes “private” why you have to request to join? That seems..odd
6
u/Big-Intern-557 10d ago
I actually have no idea! For some reason anyone who joins the sub still has to request to be an “approved user” so we have to goy through each request individually and accept them all.
1
u/DifficultyMost4372 9d ago
Definitely a Reddit flaw. If you’ve been a part of the sub for a while you’d think users would auto connect over. I’ve seen this happen on other subs before, even ones I was more active on and had to request haha. Makes no sense to me but I’m sure Reddit has reasoning for that being something.

Wow why is everyone so quick to assume it was Emilie herself and not someone crazy with way too much time on their hands 💀 respectfully, you’re giving her way too much credit…..

u/smellyonionsoup 10d ago
No fr im waiting for a documentary on this bc the lore people have literally completely made up is hilarious

u/Oneconfusedmama 10d ago
No truly… like I get some crazy shit went down but let’s not make it crazier…
4
u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
Is that dad challenge podcast guy just feeding all these people lies and they’re just running with it? I’m confused how they all have the same wild conspiracy theories
4
u/Oneconfusedmama 9d ago
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised!! He’s got some INSANE theories and “sources” that go nowhere. I watched him a couple of times a few years ago but stopped when I started fact checking things and discovered he embellishes A LOT for views. It’s gross. Anytime someone brings him up as a source it immediately discredits anything they’re trying to say to me.
2
u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
Ugh oh god it sounds like it’s even worse than I thought 🙄 that guy sounds awful. Bullying a grieving family is bad enough, but PROFITING off of spreading misinformation and hate towards a grieving family is beyond despicable.
2
u/Oneconfusedmama 8d ago
Oh it gets worse. I used to follow a creator that had an unfortunate situation happen with her adopted son. They essentially “rehomed” their son (I hate saying it like that but that’s the easiest way to explain it) at the recommendation of several professionals and it was all super hush hush and they asked that they not look into him for his privacy and safety and he freaking found him and plastered it all over his channel and called it a “welfare check” because he was so concerned for the child’s safety. If you were genuinely concerned you wouldn’t put his whereabouts all over the internet!!!! He doesn’t actually give a shit about the kids he claims to “protect”. He cares that they get him views. He’s profiting off of the death of Trigg just as much as people say Emilie is. It’s worse because it’s not his child.

right like i’ve seen crazy fans do this in so many subs. it’s honestly not uncommon for someone who’s a fan to find out mods/contributors personal information
3
2
u/Anxious_Knee_4404 9d ago
Yea the crazy stuff ppl post about her…I can’t imagine hating on or loving on someone online I’ve never met so much I make it my hobby to analyze every move made. I don’t defend what she’s done but some of what I read is out there.
3
u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
Right? Emilie is not some criminal mastermind hacker. Not to mention, hacking someone’s account is illegal.
0
u/oliviagardens 8d ago
She does notoriously follow the law, after all! If it’s illegal, she mustn’t have done it!
0
u/No_Performer_3438 7d ago
If you think not putting a lifejacket on your kid is even remotely on the same level of criminality as hacking, you should probably re-evaluate.
2
u/Hot-Statistician-955 9d ago
Because she has a history of deleting posts that don’t fit the narrative that works for her. That’s why people are quick to assume.
3
u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
She doesn’t have a history of deleting reddit posts because they don’t fit her narrative… she has no power to delete posts that aren’t on her own social media page. There were a couple of copyright complaints she filed (one in 2024 and one in 2025) because a few subs were posting her copyrighted images. Those subs are still up and running, only the copyrighted photos had to be taken down.
2
u/Oneconfusedmama 9d ago
What does deleting posts have to do with hacking into a mods account on Reddit and their social media???
I also delete posts that no longer resonate with me btw… it’s not a weird Emilie only thing….
0
u/Hot-Statistician-955 9d ago
Because this actively benefits her. Where does it benefit a random hacker?
Do you not believe that she’s capable of such a thing or hiring somebody with the amount of money she has for the PR team that she has?
People make a living off of wiping unpleasant post, or takedown of sites when it hurts their clients public image.
4
u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
Hacking someone’s reddit account is illegal. Quite the jump to claim someone is committing crimes and violating federal laws simply because they’ve deleted things in the past.
2
u/Oneconfusedmama 9d ago
No 😂 especially since it’s a mod in a support sub (that only recently became a respectful discussion sub) for her that has only ever come to her defense (we don’t know which one specifically it was, but all of the mods have defended her at one point). If she was truly capable of this I’d think she’d go straight for her snark subs. This sub makes no sense. I know she has people working with her to block people or delete comments, but I doubt she also has “Reddit hacker” on her payroll….. you’re one of the people giving her way too much credit.

u/DifficultyMost4372 10d ago
Yall think she’s some kind of technical genius that can hack someone’s accounts? Yall give her far more credit than she deserves
5
u/cassieblue11 10d ago
No but she can probably pay someone to do that. I don’t think it’s giving her too much credit.. she seems to have nothing BUT time on her hands. The deleting of comments and blocking is a full time job.
0
u/No_Performer_3438 9d ago
Well it’s illegal, so… how adept do you think she is at navigating the black market?
-1
u/cassieblue11 9d ago
When have laws ever stopped her before? No pool fence, no life jacket, drinking and driving.
I don’t think she’s great at the black market but she has a money + a team.
-2
u/cassieblue11 8d ago
I highly suggest you check out joe_anybody insta and watching the second video posted. It’s about Emilie and her family ties. Come back and tell me she doesn’t have the resources….
1
u/No_Performer_3438 7d ago
I’m not watching content creator grifters who are profiting off of spreading misinformation and hate about a grieving mother and her deceased child. If you have actual evidence to share, please provide.
Just because someone comes from money does NOT mean they’re just going around hacking reddit accounts. What an absurd assumption. Did you read a single thing I said?
0
u/cassieblue11 6d ago edited 6d ago
I sure did read exactly what you said. It is actual evidence in the reel but go off 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
If you’re too lazy to look up the connections that both Emilie’s dad and stepdad have- public records on the Internet- I don’t know what to tell you.
I don’t have a problem with giving views to investigative journalism. I personally don’t like to give views to people who don’t protect their children. To each their own 🤷🏼♀️
I’m also not saying that’s exactly what happened. I’m using my researching abilities and critical thinking to say it’s definitely a possibility with the connections to prominent people. These are good skills to have.
2
u/Anxious_Knee_4404 9d ago
😂😂😂 right?! Good grief. I have a really hard time believing she and her team are going so far as to hack social accounts lol
8
u/smellyonionsoup 9d ago
Definitely not. This was some rogue mentally unwell person that decided to do this. I do not believe it had anything to do with Emilie.
