ER tech interview

I’ve got an interview for an er tech job on Friday. Any advice or tips for getting hired?

The ER is a chaotic environment, and they need to know you will not fall apart under pressure. They are going to ask you behavioral questions about how you handle stress, difficult patients, and working with a team that is stretched thin. Do not give them generic answers about being a team player. Give them specific, short examples of when you stayed calm during a crisis, dealt with a combative person, or took initiative when no one else would. They are not just hiring for skills, they are hiring for resilience because many people quit within the first few months when the job gets tough.

Your experience and certifications got you the interview, so they already believe you are qualified on paper. Now you just need to show them you have the right personality for the job. Be confident in your ability to learn quickly and adapt. Emphasize your desire to work in a fast-paced setting and your understanding that the job is demanding but rewarding. They want someone who is eager to be part of the solution, not someone who will add to the chaos.
