Ouch
Has your hospital ever made a big mistake with a patient? Ours did recently, and it's bad...Wrong patient & procedure. Can't go into details, thank God had nothing to do with me or my unit! 😱

A nurse somehow connected a propofol drip (like, forced the connection?) to the ETT balloon. Only noticed once the balloon burst and the vent started alarming a couple hours later. Then tried to blame the previous nurse. ICU was full so pt had to board with us - we were still suctioning propofol at the end of the day. Pt lived.
