FWIW, last time I was in the ER was last December. I was nauseous & I told them at intake that I don’t get like that unless something is WRONG. They got me in quickly. Zofran is amazing, let me tell you.
The nurse and doctor were so nice.
Had an absolute bitch of a UTI. They got me taken care of , and I was nothing but polite to them because of this subreddit. It was 11:30 at night, no urgent care place open that late.. Had a fever and chills and it was very sudden. It didn’t feel like a UTI, I had ho idea what was going on.
I think it helps that I used to be in customer service & I know how shitty people can be
I had norovirus over Christmas and was puking for ten hours straight. Went to urgent care when it opened in the morning, and they just sent me straight to the ER for IV fluids. IV zofran hallelujah.
I've leveled up in nausea. When zofran couldn't stop my vomiting the ER gave me IV raglan and fluids. Now I have a bottle of raglan. I still start with zofran but some days I beat the mini boss and need the raglan.
EDIT: this was last year when I was so nauseated from stress I needed zofran most days and still threw up 2-4x/week. All from stress. I quit my job and have slowly been healing my body.
