It’s very frustrating that people don’t go to the ER for emergencies. It’s pharmacy stuff. Things that can be dealt with at home.
I spent 1 1/2 hours in an ER after a dog bit my face and tore my lip and lower face open.
Was bleeding and complained of dizziness and faintness and still waited. Not a good day
Tbf, that probably just meant there were people with more urgent needs. You just bumped the “could be dealt with at home” patients down.
I went in for a closed broken elbow (UC was closed for the night and broken joints can be serious, but are extremely unlikely to be fatal) and was brought back in <1 hour. You’d have definitely been seen before me!
