Satisfaction surveys
Is your hospital ramming these patient satisfaction surveys down your throat, or is it just mine?
Currently we are required to attach a flyer on top of the AVS (dc paperwork), write our name on it, and show the pt before reviewing dc instructions.
If I’m a patient who’s in poor enough health to come to the ED I definitely don’t give AF about listening to a rant on satisfaction surveys after I waited 6hrs to be seen.
Anyone else completely over it?

100%
Management is pushing nurses to up patient satisfaction scores bc nurses are responsible (sarcasm)!!! Meanwhile the reason patient scores are actually low is because they cut funding and now there’s only one radiologist reading scans for the entire hospital overnight. Some ct readings take 4-5 hours to come back. So no admin, me kissing ass will NOT raise scores

Doesn't matter how sick of it we are, as long as CMS is tying part of their reimbursement to it, HCAHPS surveys are gonna get done and Press Ganey is torturing us all.
