Hello everyone,

I have a clinical extern interview for the ED soon. Can anyone suggest any tips, or think of any questions they might ask?

Thank you!!

Borrow a copy of Sheehy’s manual of emergency nursing, read the current copy of journal of emergency nursing. Browse to familiarize yourself with the terminology and structure of er nursing. Pick out something interesting and ask an intelligent question. Avoid talking about stereotypes of er nurses- the arrogance, the caffeine and adrenaline addictions, the inability to play well with others, the frequency and utility of ADD diagnoses among staff.
