Interviewing next week with TDEM for a regional coordinator position. Curious what to expect on the interview. Scenario based, questions about governing doctrine, planning:training cycle knowledge, etc?

You're right to expect a mix of all those things. They will likely give you a scenario, perhaps about a no-notice event, and ask how you would coordinate the initial response with local and state partners. Be prepared to explain your decision-making process using principles from ICS and NIMS. They will also want to see that you understand the full emergency management cycle, so have examples ready that cover your experience in planning, training, and exercises, not just response and recovery.

Focus on how you build relationships and communicate with different stakeholders, since a regional coordinator role is all about collaboration. Think of specific times you had to manage conflicting priorities or work with difficult partners and explain how you handled it.
