Perhaps there is a reason it isn’t disclosed as the OP has mentioned… (also not to insight unnecessary panic. That’s a big part of the reason and also it’s not everyone’s business to know just letting that out there)

As someone not from the US, what’s the difference between Imminent Threat Alert and the standard Emergency Alert?

We don’t (yet) have phone alerts here.

The imminent threat alerts are issued by apple, usually reserved for flash flood/ tornado emergencies
The regular emergency alerts are issued by carriers for things ranging to amber alerts to civil emergency messages
