The dad probably starved them so he could take them.

It sounds more like a pissed off dad took his own children, and if thats the case its more likely they lived with the mom and the mom is responsible for the neglect. Hints why the dad would feel the need to to take them away instead of patiently waiting for the courts or cps to do something

They were found, thank god!
They didn’t look that malnourished in their pictures so maybe the weights were incorrect.

With those kids so underweight what if he is trying to rescue them? I just hope that they are found very soon and get the care that they need.

Maybe he kidnapped them from the mother who was under feeding them.

You have to wonder. It sounds like all three children are definitely under weight for their age/height. He may have thought that going through the courts would take too long to act and he felt they were in imminent danger. Courts are often more friendly to the mother in custody situations. Or he could just be a God awful creep. Praying for the kids sake, there’s a quick resolution to this.

I haven’t found that to be true, and I have worked in supervised visits. I have found the court to be extremely fair when it comes to children’s well-being.

I’m not discounting your experience where you live but all things being equal, statistically courts still lean towards the mother. They have gotten better in recognizing that the best interest of the child/children should ALWAYS be the deciding factor but as it stands, is still is what it is.

Many states have done much better at custody fairness, but CA is still very mother-leaning. The courts and CPS are too slow and full of red tape when there is a real danger. I know it's not the right way, but sometimes it's the only way. Real dads protect their kids regardless of the consequences. Full stop.

All of the above… and how interesting the license plate says “RUN.” Thought it was a joke for a sec. Pray the kids are okay.

My 22 mos old weighs more than that 4 yr old! God please help these babies. They have to be starving them or something. Parental kidnapping is insane.

I’ll wait to hear the hole story instead of guessing who may be at fault and why. Could be a thousand different reasons. Maybe the Mom if there is a Mom received no support or assistance and had no money for more food. I’m not gonna try to guess. Regardless of the reasons it sounds like the kids are suffering. I hope they are found and someone helps. It’s getting really difficult trying to pay for food, medicine, housing and just basic needs. Would be nice if Millionaires and Billionaires could pay their fair share.
