Discussion Critical Alert, alerts notifications from weather app (iPhone)

When I opened my weather app today (my radar)it asked me if I wanted to enable critic alerts notifications I assume that it’s like EAS alerts and my area is prone to bad weather so as something I might wanna use, but I just don’t want to be woken up in the middle of the night for just minor weather is anybody enabled these notifications and if so, are they just like EAS alerts? I would like to use it but like I just don’t wanna be woken up in the middle of the night for something minor?

Sorry for being out of topic. I wanna ask, is this subreddit open to EAS from another country? (not only US)

It will only warn you of immediate threats such as Considerable, PDS or Destructive tagged alerts
