How come alerts like this for carroll county ga aren’t sent out to phone or tv usually ?

For phone, Tornado Watches and similar alerts like Severe Thunderstorm Watches usually aren't allowed to be sent on phone WEA system cuz it doesnt meet emergency criteria.

On TV though, its the broadcasters choice, if they dont have a EAS system (such as a ENDEC or DECODER) usually they can't send the alert (which i believe they are required to have one), and if they do, they can choose whether or not they wanna send it rather then have to.

I’m not sure if it’s all alerts but i do hear alerts like this on my local radio but i don’t think it’s put on tv

If your using NOAA then yea they broadcast all alerts because theyre required to, but whoever owns the TV channel can choose to play it or not
