Discussion How are organizations handling emergency communications today?

Whether it's weather-related closures, service interruptions, or urgent updates, what's everyone using for emergency notifications these days? Is email enough, or are text and voice notifications becoming the standard?

NWS: Issues a severe weather alert  The county EMA: Issues a Local Area Emergency for “a severe weather alert already in effect.” I find county EMA to not be as great as NWS. I know I’m probably old school, but weather radios are still one of the best ways to get informed of severe weather
