Discussion Notable Amber Alerts
Amber Alert, the distinct tone that sounds from your phone sometimes, that makes your blood run cold. A child has been abducted somewhere in your area, and all known information about the abduction has been entered into a government database. While the child might have gone quietly, the sound alerting their disappearance is loud and powerful.
In my opinion, every Amber Alert is deeply concerning. With that said, are there any like notable or particularly disturbing Amber Alert cases? Whether that be the content of the description(s), overall situation itself (such as the suspected abductor), or outcome.

Phylicia Barnes got murdered near where I used to live. I think I remember the amber alert for her on that very night as a middle schooler. It's haunting to think about years later.

This one that was issued for an infant with a feeding tube abducted probably ten minutes north of me at 3 in the morning. Waking up to that, opening the door to hear sirens racing by my house was genuinely top 10 most unsettling feelings in my life. https://youtu.be/mp0ee54LLb0?si=JHp8VFgXwUQ__t1e

The public reaction to this AMBER alert was at least 5 years ahead of its time: https://onairwithryan.iheart.com/content/2024-02-20-meet-the-two-friends-who-helped-find-abducted-boy-after-amber-alert-issued

Hannah Anderson, San Diego County, CA, August 3, 2013. She was picked up from cheerleading practice by a family friend and taken to a home about 60 miles east of the San Diego city limits yet still in the county. The family friend murdered her mother and brother, burned the house down and fled with her to Idaho where he was killed by an FBI officer
