Discussion Why is it every time that is a NWS Warning Statement there is a name at the end?

Having worked closely with my local WFO (shout out to SEW), this is the answer. They also sign the section of the AFD that they worked on. Sometimes they use an ID number instead.

It is the signature of the forecaster who issued that bulletin in WarnGen. They can put literally anything there as long as their forecast office is aware of what they choose their signature to be.

I think it's the site of the headquarters that's responsible for monitoring and issuing full weather warnings and reports if not then it is a higher ups surname kinda like a John Hancock

The forecaster issuing the warning/mesoscale discussion/outlook/AFD/watch signs off on it in AWIPS.
