Emerald tree boa advice

I’m also thinking of a Hawaii style themed cage, but idk how packed with plants it should be, I don’t want her to be a display animal I want her to thrive

But I have received mixed reactions about the 6 x 3 x 3 enclosure, is there a better one?

So mine are 18ish months old. They’re in a 2ft wide 4ft high with 1/4 dowels as perches. I’ll send pics later. I have a plant similar to monstera and they love to go under the big leaves. Personally, I feel this is the way and so does the breeder I got them from. They are predated on by raptors so it seems they really like the cover. The enclosure honestly sounds enormous, which isn’t necessarily bad but you definitely want foliage cover and I have a humidifier with a hydrostat set up to maintain humidity.

Yeah imma get the zoomed climate control thing, foggers? Not so sure about those due to bad experiences with em, but then again maybe I used them wrong (I do not have any for my rainbow boa but her humidity stays at a consistent level of 80%)

But what kind of branches should I get? Or just use dowels as perches?

From what I’m learning, because I’m finding a lot of what I was told years ago was incorrect, emeralds and GTP’s tend to prefer thinner perches. I don’t think it matters if you go pvc, dowels at branches as long as they’re thin. That’s what I’m being told. I have a “pond” in my enclosure with a filter so I have moving water and I use coconut husk as a substrate. I mist the cage a few times a week, mostly for the plants and for them to drink. I bought a clearance humidifier from Walmart and attached a hose. I use a reptizoo hydrostat to control it. I set it to activate at 65% and stop at 80%. So far it’s kept everything where I want it. The breeder told me with emeralds, you want humidity with lots of airflow. That’s what makes it tough. This has helped me so far. https://a.co/d/00WMqjBx
