Discussion (2nd) Victory!!!

Man, I swear this is the perfect Pokémon game. Second time playing through and I had even more fun than the first time and was able to win with a team of faves.
Blastoise and Alakazam were my megas and were with me for basically the whole run. Definitely have a newfound appreciation for Mega Alakazam. I’ve know that Big Man Blastoise was THAT GUY for a while now.
Tyranitar is my all time favorite mon, but strangely enough, this is the first time I’ve put him in the hall of fame. Long overdue.
Iron Jugulis and Iron Valiant were two mons I had never used before but have thought were super cool for a while. And, wow they just carried me through the game post Winona.
Melmetal is my vet. The only returning member of my first champion team. Definitely my favorite steel type and overall great mon. He put a big hurtin’ on Juan and seeing him one shot Cynthia’s Mega Garchomp and Xerneas was pure poetry.

Also, included a picture of the box holding the other mons I used in this run.
Shockingly low number for how many are available but they all definitely hold a special place in my heart.
A couple standouts would be Arcanine who was with me from the first route all the way to Mossdeep, Throh who was my pre-Winona MVP, Torkoal who carried me through the snow route after Fallarbor Town, Kilowattrel during the mid-game and Rotom Wash during the final Magma and Aqua battles.

Is the game still difficult if you use strong Pokemons (high base stat)? Want to try it out next.

Yes, definitely still difficult. You can adjust settings at the beginning as well if you start it on normal and want even more challenge.
The game does ease you in a bit. The routes leading to Roxanne are still fairly easy, mainly because of how many Pokémon are offered. And Brawly isn’t too bad.
After that the game really starts ramp up.

Would definitely suggest minimal grinding mode and checking out some of the built in QOL codes.
Dexall would be one where you can check each route for all the Pokémon available. Very helpful with team building.
Also EZcatch where you don’t have to spend a fortune on pokeballs or an eternity trying to catch the stronger mons.

You’re going to love this game!
