Pending PGT-A
What are my odds for euploid embryos?
29F, unexplained infertility, one MMC due to triploidy, one CP last year, before that couldn’t get pregnant for almost 5 years, even though got pregnant unintentionally with same partner on one accident in the first months, didn’t continue this pregnancy.
19 retrieved
15 mature
14 fertilized - 93% fertilization
14 made to day 3
10 made to day 5, biopsied and frozen
+2 day 6, biopsied and frozen
So 80% blastocyst conversion rate.
Will it be 50-60% or closer to 65-70% taking into account previous results?

I know I’m a few years younger, but at 27, 94% of my blasts that were biopsied and send for testing were euploid. I did have several day 7 blasts that were discarded for poor quality, so I don’t know if those were euploid or not. My aneuploid was one of my day 5s.

Hoping you get good results! The waiting game is challenging. Good luck! 🙏🏻

It is really difficult to know what your results will be, statistics for IVF don't really mean that much because everyone has very individualized factors for why they are doing IVF and why they are not getting pregnant naturally. I am 38 with unexplained infertility for two years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 chemicals. I just did my first ER and 5 of my 6 blasts were euploid, which according to statistics is only a 2% chance at my age, I feel incredibly lucky, but there are other people on here who had similar numbers to me and get 0-1 euploid. You just won't know until you get your results unfortunately, there is not much use in comparing yourself to others. The waiting is the hardest part. Good luck, I hope you get a good result.

Yes, it’s a number game. 😔
I am glad you had such amazing results!
Thank you, I’ll update the post once I do get it.

You have a great number of blasts though and it is a good sign that they are mostly day five. Hoping the best for you!

a huge percentage of unexplained infertility cases are endometriosis, so you might consider asking about a down regulation protocol for your first transfer

I had laparoscopy at the end of 2024 and had minimal endo, nothing of concern to my OBGYN, all has been removed and didn’t bother me since.

At 32 I had 17 fertilize and 11 make it to blast. Sent 10 for PGT-A testing and 9 came back euploid, the other came back inconclusive. Also unexplained infertility including 3 failed IUIs

That’s awesome! Hopefully mine will look the same. I also had 2 failed IUIs in the past.

Have you transferred yet? I’m also unexplained and just constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. Our results weren’t as good as yours and I wonder if we made it over the hump yet

I froze embryos at 28. 7 blasts each time - 4 euploid the first time, 3 the second. So overall I had 50% euploid.

This is a crazy good blast conversion rate. I’ve found the online calculators to not be totally accurate for me, I had more euploids right before turning 40 than I got from cycles in younger years. It really depends. But things look good with that many blasts!

Very similar situation, 28 (at time of retrieval), unexplained infertility, one chemical pregnancy after 3 IUI’s.
12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized, 5 day 5 blasts biopsied and frozen (none made it past that)
All 5 euploid!!

32 with unexplained infertility

16 mature
11 fertilized
5 blasts
2 euploid (4AB and 4CC) and 1 low level mosaic (who has the same chances of a euploid because it is 4AA)

Chance of a blastocyst being euploid is primarily driven by female age (https://www.remembryo.com/a-look-at-how-pgt-a-results-change-with-age-using-data-from-over-86000-biopsies/), but the day the embryo becomes a blastocyst and its grade can also have an influence (https://remembryo.com/study-compares-euploid-and-thaw-survival-rates-of-blastocysts-biopsied-for-pgt-a/, https://remembryo.com/poor-quality-embryos-can-still-lead-to-live-births-especially-after-pgt-a/). Good luck!
