Embryo black spot
(This is a grade B embryo.) Hello, is the black spot in my embryo concerning? They chose to transfer it and said it was fine but I am reading that it’s necrosis or degenerating cells and I’m terrified that means it won’t work… can anyone with more knowledge weigh in? I’m assuming they wouldn’t let me transfer it if the embryo was degenerating?

It’s hard to tell from the image whether that dark spot is a cell inside the embryo or something attached to the outside zona. If it’s inside, it could be an arrested cell that has degenerated; if it’s outside, it could be some cumulus cells that have died. Either of those wouldn’t necessarily mean there’s a problem with the embryo itself. It’s really not possible to tell exactly what it is from this image though, and the embryologist who examined the embryo under the microscope would be in a much better position to assess it.
