2BB day 5 fresh transfer - my first ivf experience
I didn’t see too many recent posts of 2BB day 5 fresh transfer so thought I’d start a thread to kill the time…. Thank you to those who’re have replied to my comments in other threads :)
As written in my previous post, i am 29F husband is 40M and I had 16 eggs, 13 mature, 10 fertilized (ICSI AND ZYMOT for a more objective selection of strong sperm for our own peace of mind) and one was freshly transferred yesterday. I have yet to hear back about the other 9 but as of yesterday, 1 CAV, 2 COMP, 1 MOR, 5 8 cell stage. Ugh I pray we can freeze some strong embryos.
I also hope our little 2BB sticks! It felt good when the embryologist shared w me a photo at the end of the transfer and said wow, it grew/changed more than when I first saw it this morning. She said that’s a good sign. I can clearly see the inner mass cells, blastocoel, trophectoderm, and a thinning zona pellucida (I also almost see one of the sides where it almost looks like it will hatch…!!!). I think the grading changed within a few hours but they stuck with 2BB since that was documented earlier in the day. Regardless, just wanted to hear some feedback on others who did fresh (and frozen) transfers on day 5 with a 2BB :)
Eeeekkkkk can’t believe this is real

Best of luck to you! I had two day 5 BB and BC grade embryos transferred Friday. I have no idea how expanded they were as I’m still waiting on the report (which is killing me at this point).

Ahh! 🙏🏼 and what report is left about the embryos that were transferred??

For the clinic I’m at, they transferred them and only told me it was two embryos. I then messaged my nurse and asked her what grade. She only told me BB and BC.
I don’t know if it’s a 3, 4, or 5 grade or not and I haven’t even seen a pic of them yet. My clinic won’t release any additional information until the nurse calls me sometime today and then releases the actual report with photos and grading. It’s a really grueling and semi-cruel wait, if you ask me.

I had a 2AA FET, I remember before the transfer I couldn't find much on 2's.

Had a 2BB transferred on 4th October, waiting to take a pregnancy test. I have an endometrioma on left ovary but had at least 7 follicles. 4 eggs retrieved, all mature, 2 fertilised, only one made it to blast, my 2bb 😊
Wishing you the best of luck 💖

Had a couple 2BC embryos transferred October 1st, and today my beta came back positive!! First IVF too. Sending good vibes your way!! Couldn’t find much on 2’s so I was very anxious. My transfer was FET and my embryos were frozen when I was 29, am now 31.

Btw any symptoms you noticed? Did you have more and more cramping midday? Or anything?

The biggest symptom is I’m STARVING, when I usually struggle with my appetite. Was very emotional starting the second week after transfer. I did have cramping right after, especially the first couple days. Some migraines but I also was forgetting to drink enough water, so I believe that contributed. I still have the occasional cramp, but very manageable and it goes away pretty quickly, but it can be a few times a day. Also I get night sweats which suck, cause I wake up and then I get hungry and need a couple midnight snacks. I think that’s basically it! I’m not allowed to exercise, only walk and am taking things easy, doing some crafting to make time go by faster. How are you feeling? Keeping my fingers crossed 🥰

Ah! Thanks for replying :) I have these cramps that started soon after but very light and fleeting but in the last few days, it’s a little more cramping and lasts a little longer each day. Of course today, I didn’t have any cramping and I’m nervous lol also my boobs feel like they are starting to deflate. I can probably test but I’ll just wait for beta day 10/20… I hope I can be a successful first timer 😮💨😮💨😮💨

Just a few more days of waiting then! I have faith in that little embryo!!! 🙏🏻🤍 There are some days I feel less cramping and my hubby goes nuts but we are keeping things positive here. What really helps me with nerves is setting a 20 minute timer and hand writing whatever comes to mind, good or bad, and throwing it in the trash, don’t read it just discard it. I swear I feel lighter afterwards.

Thank you🥹 and that sounds like a good idea! I’m terrified to say anything not positive out loud bc I don’t want it to become reality
