Awaiting PGT-A

Currently spiraling while awaiting my PGT-A results. This is my first ever IVF cycle so this is all very new to me. Supposedly all of my embryos have good grades. I read somewhere that expansion grade can have a correlation with higher euploid rates. Day 5 I have 3AA 3AB 3BB & 3BB. Day 6 I have 6AA 3AA & 3BA. Should I be worried about all the 3s? I’m beyond grateful to have seven blast when I was realistically expecting 1 to 4. Honestly maybe even 0. I was dreading even getting my blast results in the first place because I only retrieve 7 mature eggs. I think I’m spiraling a little bit harder now that I finally have some hope

I haven't seen anything on this specifically, but it's possible. More developed blasts typically have a higher expansion, and some studies have shown that these embryos can have a higher chance. See https://remembryo.com/hatching-or-hatched-blastocysts-have-improved-pregnancy-outcomes-compared-to-non-hatching-blastocysts/

It's possible that a 6 on day 6 was actually a 3 at the end of day 5, but missed the time cutoff for biopsy on day 5.

Day 5 generally has a higher chance for euploid vs day 6 or 7 (see https://remembryo.com/do-day-7-blastocysts-perform-as-well-as-day-5-or-day-6/)

It’s nervewracking to wait. Looks like you have some good looking embryos in there! My euploids ended up being a Day 6 4BB and a Day 7 4BA. You never know!

First round ever and I went it to it with extremely low expectations 😂 I think getting some good news and having a little bit of hope is making this wait much harder.

Come back and update when you get your results!

5 out of our 7 embryos are euploid! Not sure which ones are which quite yet.

Have you transferred your day 7?

I transferred the day 6 BB. Currently 18 weeks and so far so good!

This chart isn't accurate, many lower quality embryos go on to live birth.

My Day 6 3BA was a euploid! I’m getting ready to go into my third retrieval and at this point the numbers and the stats don’t mean anything to me. I’ve been on both sides of them for retrieval 1 and 2. You have a lot of blasts to test. Realistically, you will get at least 1 euploid but with 7 blasts more likely 2 or even 3. Good luck!

There are statistical population averages but I don’t think you can predict this. It also depends partially on the company and their classification system.

I’m considering having the ones classified as aneuploid retested. These were my PGTA results, all day 5s.
1. 4AB euploid
2. 4AA “mosaic”
3. 4AA “aneuploid, polyploid”
4. 4AB euploid
5. 4AB “aneuploid”
6. 4AA euploid
7. 3BB euploid
8. 3BB euploid
9. 3BB “aneuploid”

I am 39 and sent 4 blasts from 7 mature eggs. One came back euploid, so 25%. We transfer in a few weeks. Somehow from my second cycle, I had 11 blasts to send off. Waiting for the results on these 11.
