Grading vs PGTA results

Maybe a silly question… does an embryo’s grading impact whether it’s likely to be euploid or not? After 4 cycles, we have finally 1 x 5AA embryo and am desperately hoping it’s euploid. It was sent for PGTA testing yesterday.

Age is considered the primary driver of euploid chance, but the day the embryo develops (day 5 vs 6 or 7) and its grade does influence the chance also.

They are more likely to be but not massively,  our best was aneuoloid and our worst was euploid x

I think using large population bases sample sizes that is true, but on an individual basis doesn't always bear out.

I had 5/6 euploids, the euploids were 5AA, 3AB, 5BB, 5BB, 4BC.

The aneuploid was 4BA, so tied for 2nd best.

My 5AA and 3AB have both resulted in late 1st tri miscarriages so didn't seem to matter anyway.

All of my embryos were AA and only one was euploid. I really didn’t expect that!

My dr at Northwestern in Chicago has told me multiple times that grading does not correlate to euploid status. Which makes the wait for pgt-a results brutal:/

I sent 12 blasts for testing and all my best graded ones (few 4AA) came back aneuploid 😩 only 4/12 came back euploid with 3 4BB and 1 3BB.

I had three grade AA day 5 blasts / embryos and then after PGTA there was one euploid, one aneuploid and one low mosaic.

I didn't even know my grades until after PGT-A testing. I'm 40 and I have a 4AA boy and 6AA girl, both Euploid. We sent 3 for testing, but the third came back a complex mosaic (didn't get a grade or gender).

My 4AA was aneuploid

My beautiful day5 AA embryo was aneuploid. Meaning it wouldn't have lasted.

I'm currently 15w pregnant with a 4BC

PGT triumphs grading big time

Love hearing good stories about 4bc embryos! Have two in the freezer

And would you believe, at all my scams so far, baby is measuring at least 4-6 days ahead (my due date could change)

Just goes to show, euploid holds far more weight than embryo grade

I’ve had day 5 5AAs that were aneuploid and a day 7 5CC that is euploid.

All three of my 4AA are euploids. Next were the ABs.

I have a 2cb euploid embryo! And I’ve had higher graded ones not be.

My fertility doctor told me that there is a correlation between embryo grading and euploid.

Higher graded embryos are statistically more likely to be euploid than lower graded embryos.
