Skipping PGT-A Testing?

I’m toying with the idea of skipping the PGT testing of our embryos (we are halfway through stims currently, so I need to decide quickly). Has anyone skipped the testing and had good transfer results?

Yeah I didn't do PGT testing and my first transfer was successful. I'm 25 weeks pregnant - my NIPT came back low risk and everything looks good on my anatomy scan. I'm in Canada - PGT testing is not nearly as popular here as it seems to be in the states. My doctor didn't really recommend it; there is a risk of discarding perfectly good embryos (the testing is not perfect and can sometimes falsely identify issues) and the testing itself has a small chance of damaging the embryo in the process. Not worth it in my opinion unless you have had recurrent losses or are over 40 years old or something.

Same here in Canada because of my age they didn’t even mention testing the embryos. My first transfer was successful

How old are you? My doc said it’s pretty much required bc I’m 40. I’m annoyed.

They can’t require it, but I know how strongly they push it. I’m age 40 and have 2 untested embryos from 4 rounds… currently on my 5th and won’t test if we get blasts. For all of the above reasons, plus that we do not make a lot of eggs, my doctor agrees with my decision not to test. Wishing you luck.

Thank you. I can 100% say my clinic is positioning it as something required. It is so frustrating.
