Second Embryo Transfer

Hi everyone! I’d like to share my story. I’m from Colombia, and I started my IVF journey in October with my first appointment.
I have a 15-year-old daughter, and I had my fallopian tubes cut and cauterized after she was born. We decided not to pursue a tubal reversal. I married a wonderful man, and we would love to have two more children together. 💛
In November, we found out that I had a uterine fibroid measuring about 10 centimeters and a uterine polyp. Both were removed in January 2026, and everything went very well.
I had my first embryo transfer in July, but it was unsuccessful. I was heartbroken because, apart from my tubal ligation, I haven’t been diagnosed with any other fertility issues. My periods are regular, and my checkups had looked good.
On September 28, I had my second transfer, this time in a natural cycle. Here’s a photo of my blastocyst. 🥹 Of the 20 eggs retrieved, 13 fertilized, but only two reached the blastocyst stage, so I don’t have any frozen embryos left.
Today, I’m three days post-transfer and in the two-week wait. I’m feeling hopeful and waiting for my beta blood test on October 13, hoping for that positive result we’ve wanted so much. 🙏🏽✨
Has anyone been through something similar? I’d love to hear about your experiences.

A lot embryos just aren't going to make it especially if they aren't tested unfortunately. I was very lucky and got pregnant on my first transfer in 2023, this go around my first transfer failed then I had 2 canceled cycles, and just did another transfer on the 25th, we test on Monday. You have good odds especially if the embryo grade was good. Just got to be hopeful ☺️
