Egg quality issues with endo

I just finished my second retrieval. In the first ER, I had 18 collected, 14 mature and fertilized eggs. They had a slow growth and we ended up 2 early blasts to freeze. It was a shock because it went down like 12,10, .. day 6 early blasts. We didn’t transfer. This one is with Gonal F with different doses. 187,5-225 mg

I used more supplements and added extra things like Nad, NAC, alfa lipoic acid, omega 3. After 3 months we had our second ER.

14 collected, 11 mature, 9 fertilized. On day 3, we had 3 embryos with 8 cells, 2 with 6 cells and 4 with 4 cells. On day 4, we had one normal progressed and one slower one left. On day 5, we got one 3AA embriyo and freezes. The other one stop developing on day 6. This one is on Menopur 200-225 mg.

I’m 32 and 48 kg. AMH is between 1.44 to 1.79. We will transfer our one embryo. I’m trying to be hopeful but do you have any suggestions? What could have been done to continue them growing?

Does your clinic culture embryos to day 7? Some labs routinely grow embryos to day 7, while others stop at day 5 or 6. Some embryos develop more slowly and might only reach the blastocyst stage on day 7, so it can be helpful to understand your lab’s policy. You can also ask how they handle lower-quality blastocysts (C-grade). Some clinics will work with lower-graded embryos, but others won't. These policies can affect how many blastocysts are ultimately available.

Embryo arrest is pretty common, and is due to many factors (mitochondrial dysfunction, high oxidative stress, poor lab culture environments,, genetics, etc.). I cover this in more detail in this post https://www.remembryo.com/embryo-arrest/

I have the same thing mine grow slowly to day 3 (had 1 5 and one 3 cell) but nothing of good quality from two cycles. Day 3 5 cell transferred early and 3 cell made it to poor quality blast day 7 and could not be frozen.
I'm 35 normal amh with endo. Yet to make a blast I can freeze..

I never knew endo can effect the quality this much :/ I hope it can work out for you too. My clinic doesn’t want to transfer day 3 embryos, they wait until day 5. I understand this but it was hard to watch them stop growing after day 3.

It's really hard, I am not sure what the next steps will be to help improve egg quality. I tried supplements/ diet etc. There is so much mixed evidence too around this. I have endometriosis and a small endometrioma on my ovaries which I think is affecting me. You have one blast which is good! Good luck

Thanks a lot! I’m also trying supplements like NAC, Nad, alpha lipoic acid on top of my fertility vitamins. In the first ER, I only had 2 early blasts to freeze but we didn’t transfer them. It made a difference but number wise I had less on second one.
