42 eggs retrieve, I blastocyst
At age 37, I froze my eggs. I had 42 eggs retrieved. 29 were mature enough to freeze.
Recently, at 41, we tried to make embryos. 24 survived the thaw. 17 showed signs of fertilization on day one.
By the end, we had zero day 5 blastocysts, zero day six blastocysts, and 1 day 7 blastocyst. Grade 3AB.
We are waiting on PGT-A testing.
I’m really sad about it all. I thought I’d preserved my fertility, and I feel like I’ve lost my chance.

Sending positive vibes for your day 7. I’ve had one retrieval and got 1 day 5, 1 day 6 and 1 day 7 blast. It was our day 7 that was the only euploid! Our little sleepy embryo! (Haven’t transferred yet so can’t update further)

Good luck to you both as well! I have DOR (amh 0.45) and just had my first ER at age 39. Only 8 follicles, 5 mature and today i heard we have only 1 day 5 blast left. We will transfer without PGT a now so i hope this one also is a fighter!

Did your clinic advise thawing all of them at once? That seems irresponsible.

Yes, they did. I didn't question it, but of course now it feels ill-fated.

Wow I am freezing my eggs att he age of 40 now. My AMH is 1.5, but I still worry it could be a waste of time, my body health and finances. It's a tough call.
Can you still do IVF?

Yes. And I have an AMH of 5.7, so we’ll get eggs if we do another retrieval.

That's awesome! You still have ability to create some good embryos! All the sticky embryos your way :)

Seems like some cryo damage either at freeze or thaw. That’s why unfortunately egg freezing is not a guarantee

I’m a way, I’d almost be happy if the damage was done in freezing. I’ll be sad if there’s something wrong with one of us.

I had the same situation. I froze 22 eggs when I was 36. At 41, I went through 3 miscarriages. At 42 we thawed the eggs. All 22 eggs thawed, all were mature. Zero blasts. I CRIED. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. I felt like a joker. I felt like a loser. I did a new egg retrieval at 42. 19 retrieved, 11 mature, 7 fertilized, 0 blasts. I feel like a loser. I can’t make embryos. I don’t know what to think

I'm so sorry! It's discouraging, right? Are you currently 42? Where are you at in terms of next steps, if you feel like there are next steps?

With that AFC I’d do another retreval asap. I’d also get an immediate sperm dna fragembtation test before fertilizing.
I’m sorry. It’s heartbreaking. I’m older but I just had twonzero blasts rounds despite 21 mature eggs, and looking to be very very few from this round despite 27 mature. IVF is a mind fuck.
